Long lost but not forgotten...

Wow, I can't believe how fast time flies.  Has it really been since January that I wrote on here?  Sad.  Well tons has happened since then.

First off, we moved--again!  Yes, surprise.  But really, this is a good move--almost double the square footage.  From 1512sf double wide to 2836 sf 6 bed/3bath newer home in Creekstone!  No comparison.  We just moved in on March 31, and we love it--so much.  Especially me I think.  I feel like it is laid out really well for our family and of course I love the space and neighborhood.  We have not gotten the chance to meet many neighbors or kids yet (much to the kids' dismay), but we will.  There is a nice park within easy walking distance, which is cool.  We are trying to see if they let us have a dog, but still have not heard anything--even tho their original ad said pets upon approval.  Kind of messed up.

We (I?) really want a mini Goldendoodle.  There is a breeder in Richland who is willing to do a guardianship for her pup--meaning that we would get this $1500 dog for free under the condition that we won't breed it and will let her have it once a year to be bred.  I am so excited--well, at least if we get to do it.  They are such adorable dogs and supposed to be really good dogs, smart and easy to train.  We shall see...

Azbrielle is doing great in H/S--she is already in her second grade book!  She is reading so fantastically and has started "The Call of the Wild"--we will see if she finishes it.  That is a pretty hard and long book for where she is at right now, but she wanted to try it.  I think if she gets into the story then she will do it, because she will want to see what happens.  We are having a Saxon math day tomorrow (nothing else) to catch up on math since they are so far ahead in LA.   They are taking a butterfly class for science at school, and they got to bring their caterpillars home today!  We get to watch it turn into a butterfly.  How interesting--I don't remember doing anything like that.  They also started choir this trimester.  They both came home singing "hip-hip-hip-hippo-potamus!  I think it is an exercise to help them learn how to breathe correctly and control their diaphragm--but it is cute.

Weston is cruising right along too.  We are so proud of them both.  His reading is fantastic, and he even uses expression when he reads.  It is amazing how quickly he picks things up and remembers them when I teach him.  Some days I feel like I do a crappy job--not really teaching but just making them do their books while I take care of the babies---but it seems to be working?!  They are learning so much about writing and reading comprehension and so on.   They just started gymnasatics last Thursday, and they love it.  They were both complaining the next day about muscles being sore!  I love it!  And we don't even have to pay for it.  I can't believe we waited so long in the year to start!  But I guess life has been pretty crazy with the babies and all...I feel like a bad mom tho.

Brody and Delaney are getting so big--they are eight and a half months old already.  It makes me sad in a way, because they are exactly how old our friends from church's baby Emmett was when he died--six months ago.  My heart still hurts for them; I cannot even imagine what they are going through every day.  I would really like to hang out with Dani, but I don't think the feeling is mutual--so whatever I guess.  But I feel bad being even at church, because I imagine it would be hard to not think about the fact that they are the age he was.  I kind of feel guilty, even tho I have no control over the situation.

Neither baby is crawling yet, though they are pretty close.  They both get up on all fours and kind of rock sometimes.  Delaney is stuck in reverse--it is so funny to watch her.  She kind of uses her arms and pushes herself backwards.  It seems like she is frustrated because she is going away from what she wants, but she does not know what to do about it.  Last night she got herself backed into the corner between the bookshelves, and she kept looking back at the wall to see why she could not go more.  It was hilarious.  She rolls everywhere...and in fact had her first trip down the stairs two days ago--that would have been Sunday the 11th.  It was sooo scary!  Luckily she went sideways instead of head over heels, so she didn't really hit her head or anything.  All the way down she was kind of yelling (not crying) like she was mad that someone was doing that to her!  I was so shaky when I flew down to the second to the last step to pick her up--I was so scared.  But she hardly even cried at all and was totally fine.  Like I said, she seemed more mad than injured.  So lucky.  We really need to get one of those fixed baby gates, especially before they start crawling.  I don't know how she fell that time--I just went to grab their coats from Brody's room, and I don't remember noticing she was that close to the stairs--but I guess she does roll a lot.  Now I guess I learned the hard way :(.  I am just so grateful that she is okay!  My friend Emeth's little girl fell down the stairs on Friday, and she had to go to the ER.  She is okay, but she was way more hurt than Delaney.

Brody loves to hold on to us and stand up.  His legs have gotten really skinny, but he  is still really strong.  He kind of scoots forwards sometimes, but not all the time.  At least he is going the right direction!   He is eating regular food now--not baby food, but regular!  Of course it is still all smashed up, since neither of them have teeth yet! I guess I should be grateful since I am still nursing them!  He loves real food--so I just use lots of veggies and smash them and mix with Cream of Wheat or Oatmeal or sweet potatoes or regular potatoes or whatever.  He is such a potato kid it is scary!  And they both love avocadoes!  I have been giving them lots of the mixed with veggies, because it makes a good base for food.  I have been kind of worried that I should not be giving them this food, but they seem to be doing fine with it and love it.  They also loved my turkey meatloaf (one of my new faves!!!)--it is really soft, so I tried it on them.  They wanted more, more, more!  I am going to blend up some spinach tomorrow and see how that goes.  I think they will like it.  Brody does NOT like anything sweet (yay!)--he gags and chokes.  So no bananas or anything!  If I want him to eat something, I have to put veggies in it.  Then he chows it down.  So weird but wonderful!

The babies are still doing EC, and they are doing great as far as we are concerned.  We know we won't catch every pee--we don't even want to try right now.  But it is sooo cool to have them (especially Brody) go this humongous pile of poop into the potty chair instead of the diaper!  Now that they are eating real food, it is not fun if they poop in their diapers!   So we feel good if we have only one or maybe two poopies per week between the two of them--we are just glad we aren't cleaning it up with a diaper on!

Delaney does not eat quite as well as Brody--she seems to have a harder time moving it around with her tongue--although she does get it there.  She is just much messier--and then she puts her hands up there and gets it all over her fingers then touches her hair and face and ears--yuck!  What a mess.  Brody is such a neat eater--it barely goes outside his mouth, and he doesn't even try to touch it!  Delaney is getting tons of fat rolls on her legs and stuff tho--so she must be getting enough!  They are up to eating meals like 2-3 times a day plus nursing now.  I am going to make it a year if it kills me!  I love nursing, but it is much harder with twins.  My nipples never get a break, and they are so much more sore than I remember before at this age of baby!  But I will make it...and I am sure I will be sad to be done at the same time I am happy to get my body back and not have my boobs get bigger, smaller, bigger, smaller!

Scott is doing entries now at work, and he seems to be doing great.  They have had a bunch of crap happen down there, so there is not a whole lot going on right now--makes for pretty boring shifts.  He is thinking still of going back to school but not totally decided--just found out that CBC has in instrumentation internship program that sounds awesome.  I think he is excited about that prospect.  Brandon is still keeping his ears open for us about an apprenticeship there, although I am not too hip on moving there--but for that job heck yes!  That would be amazing.

I started Body For Life--a fat loss and muscle building program that is 12 weeks long.  I officially started March 1, so I am six weeks into it.  I guess there is a difference, tho not as much as it feels like there should be when I work my butt off all the time.  Cardio intensity training 3x week with weights three other days/week.  So six days a week I feel burned out!  So tired, not more energy.  Scott says I am not getting enough sleep, and I am sure he is right.  Actually I should be sleeping now instead of writing!  But I wanted to catch some stuff up on here...

Chase seems to be doing okay at Jamie's--he got a nice new computer for Christmas.  He says he has lots of friends there and likes the kids better--so I don't think he will come back.  But his grades are falling--so he may not have a choice? I don't want to be the mean mom that makes him come back, but C's are NOT okay when he is that smart.  His teachers seem to agree that he can do way better than that--I am not sure what his problem is.  He has never gotten C's.  And he is doing no extra credit or anything.  I am worried and talked to his teachers about it.  Probalby didn't help that Jamie got him a cell phone (without my permission of course).  So time will tell what will happen with that...

We just sold our suburban and used the money to pay for Chase's BRACES--he got them on April 2!!  Luckily Dr. Almond did them for half price since I am a hygienist--it was "ONLY" $2185 after the discount for paying cash.  Seems like a lot to me, but it could have been much worse!

Okay, I need to go to bed--I am sure I missed some important stuff, but I will try to be on here more often now that we are getting settled in!
